Los Haitises & Bacardi Island
An air conditioned bus will take you across the country, to Caño Hondo port, from which you will embark for Cayo Levantado, also called Bacardi Island. Approximately after 30 minutes of navigation in speed boat you will be able to enjoy this Caribbean paradise known from the advertising of the most sold rum in the world. Its white soft sandy beaches and its turquoise coloured crystalline waters will help you forget the daily problems. The lunch, buffet type and refreshing national alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will wait for you in the beach.
In the afternoon you will go by speed boats to islands and reefs of the National Park The Haitises. Then you will see the caves with murals of the first indigenous inhabitants of the island, the Tainos Indians. On your return you will be invited to a typical rural house to take a coffee freshly prepared and you will have opportunity to buy jewels of the national semiprecious stones - amber and larimar.
